I have an interview tomorrow for a marketing director position, but the thing is, my degree isn’t in that field.. And I told them that, and I also told them I have NO experience, but Im a quick learner. They seemed very desperate, and Im wondering if they will train me for a few days, just throw me in there or just not hire me? I have a background in something similar, but not quite. And like I said, they sounded VERY desperate.
Also, does anyone know the average hourly? Minimum wage here is $5.15 I believe…

I am a recent graduate looking for a marketing job. I have an interview for a marketing assistant role at a bank but I don’t want to be working in the financial services industry for my career.

If I work for a bank for the next couple of years - would it be hard to change industry in my next job?

Is there is legitimate website that offers true email marketing?

Some i found in search cheap and said to send 2.3 million emails a day…

is there any actual company that does real time email marketing for my products?

I’m a first time manager at this small company- started in sales 4 yrs ago. The owner wants our staff to do less email marketing, less follow ups etc. and wants an almost 100 % focus on cold calls. I feel this is a mistake, he feels that simply making more cold calls will turn into more sales. What about repeat customers, account management etc? Any thoughts?

I am looking to get a marketing job, in the Cleveland area, and I was wondering if anyone has heard of JNL Marketing, Inc or Kinetic Solutions? I came across both companies in my recent job search and when I applied to these companies, I was almost immediately offered a job interview. I did get a personal call, not a stock email. Anyways, if anyone has any insight about these two companies, I would appreciate it.

I work as a Marketing Executive for an in-house Sales & Marketing department. Although a small company in terms of staff, it delivers services nationally to some major clients. My role involves marketing and graphic/web design. These are my main duties:

• Management of all Marketing & PR activities
• Design of company website, marketing literature, email marketing, display advertising and any other promotional materials, including client presentations
• Lead management - involves advanced Excel functions
• Database management
• SEO/PPC
• Internal communication
• Management of business partner relationships (2 major mobile network providers)
• An element of performance management

Although I don’t hold a marketing qualification, I have now been in the job for 2 years and get positive feedback from my employer. I earn £14.5k basic + bonus. Despite promises otherwise, the bonus scheme is barely worthwhile - weighing in at £200 quarterly (before tax).
