I got my credit report today and it shows that my total credit amount is $300 and I have $296 available. After further inspection I noticed that only one credit card had reported a credit limit/max balance and that all of my credit cards hadn’t been reported since April. Is there an effective way to contact the credit card companies and get them to report accurate and up to date information to the credit bureaus? I feel that this issue is affecting my credit score, so I would like to fix this.

Thanks in advance.

Experian, Trans union or Equifax

They only report every 6 months. Some do it sooner, but that’s rare.

Not all lenders report to all of the credit bureaus. You need to check all 3. If all of your credit cards are listed with at least one then you’re good to go.

Virtually all of my credit is listed on at least 2 of the Big 3, but several things are not listed on all of them.

There are three nationwide consumer reporting companies (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) that compile credit reports. You can purchase a copy of your credit report from any of these three agencies, or from other companies that offer credit reports as part of a larger package. You should not pay more than $15 for your report. Read more from:
