I’m trying to plan our high school reunion, and we want to have a website that allows people to do all the RSVP’ing, registration stuff, and pay for their ticket online. How do I set this up, or is there a good website that can help answer these questions?

I am pretty sure PayPal can help you out with that. (www.paypal.com) I think all you need is a savings account with a bank for the money to get deposited into. But I know that Pay Pal is trusted and can be set up to receive or send out money.

As far as a website to allow RSVPing and stuff, you may want to see if you can find a free website hosting site, like AngelFire or something like that, or set up a forum or a blog can even work nicely too - Not like MySpace or Friendster, but like blogger.com or LiveJournal.com. They’re pretty free with the HTML you put on your page.

Once you have a website, PayPal can be set up to appear on your page, have some kind of icon or something that says “PayPal” and your classmates can click on it and it will automatically ask them for their payment info. Just like if you were to buy something online and pay for it via PayPal.

I am not sure if the PayPal service costs anything. I have never personally had to set it up for something like this. But, at least you have a starting point!

You can also ask your high school, if they have a website, if you can create some kind of reunion info/RSVP/Pay for your ticket here kind of link from their site, or on their site entirely, that way it makes it real easy for your classmates to go to, and the high school’s own tech people can set it up for you. Just something to consider.

Hope this helps! Good luck with your reunion!
