What’s the best way to go about this?

A character has taken a large sum of money from a crime syndicate. With the money, he makes a lot in return. Instead of paying back his lender, he gets greedy, takes the money and runs. I need inspiration.
Edit: It’s a short scene explaining, not showing, how the character was able to take the money and make such a huge return. Most mafia organizations wouldn’t play with weed. Maybe coke, but it the scene is about getting story across in the form of brevity.
