I am starting a new business and want to know your opinion on what works. I see a lot of different companies offering the best service and I want to know which are the best.

Also, do things like email marketing, newspapers, banners, etc work?

Id like to market niche products via email. Ideally Id like to find a service that rents the list and emails the message as well.

Double opt-in would be best.

I’m a first time manager at this small company- started in sales 4 yrs ago. The owner wants our staff to do less email marketing, less follow ups etc. and wants an almost 100 % focus on cold calls. I feel this is a mistake, he feels that simply making more cold calls will turn into more sales. What about repeat customers, account management etc? Any thoughts?
