So i’ve been looking for a job on Craigslist and its seems like maybe one in three jobs i apply for bounces back to me with these somewhat realistic sounding email saying something like “we liked your resume, but first we need you to fill out this online form on this website” so then you go to the website to fill out the “form” and its just an advertisement or a trick to get you to sign up for a marketing email. So how do they profit from this?

Hi, I am a Latin America lawyer and two weeks ago I had a phone job interview with the HR Director for a position as a legal assistant for the company’s clients in Latin America. We talked about my professional experience, salary, benefits and relocation expectations. Well, my professional experience was praised by the interviewer, my salary expectation was market rate, the benefits were fixed the same for every employer, but because I am at the moment based in South America I was asked about my relocation expectations and I proposed the documentation necessary to take the work permit visa and some help to search an apartment. Next day I sent a thank you email but still had no answer. The position is still avaiable at the company’s site. The question is how should I follow up this job because no deadline was fixed at the interview.

I am a co-op student and my marketing project is to email garden clubs and offer them free samples of the garden products the company I work for makes. The products are more expensive, electronic items so clubs will be given a choice of one of three products. I need to know how to approach the clubs in my initial email so I want some insight into what they value most (ie free products, education, etc). Should I just email and say “free product” or send them some research on a problem and how the products help solve it? Something else? This will help me choose my approach in order to get the largest response for my campaign. Any insight from gardeners/club members would be appreciated!

I’m trying to find some creative ways to market for our eBay drop-off store and pack/ship business. We’ve tried the traditional TV/radio/email. Anyone have any interesting, perhaps guerilla, marketing ideas?

I would like to send emails to specific people in public schools whom I believe would like to use my seminar. My question is, how do I do that? And, perhaps a second question, how would I gather the names of these people. For example, I would like to market my seminar to those people who specifically deal with special needs children. How do I gather the names of the people who work with these children, and, how do I send them an email with my seminar and sign-up information in it?

How would you perform email marketing without it being consider spamming? Sometimes I have had to get rid of an email address because I kept getting hundreds of spam emails from various sources. What is the right way to do email marketing and attract the most customers?
